Location: Bryan, Texas Year Established: 1983 Facilities: Shop located in Bryan / College Station Tx., fast growing area about 7 miles from Texas A & M college, shop is in partial residential area @ edge of town about 500ft. off of Hwy. 21. Shop and real estate paid off, enough parking in front and side, no fence but also no issues w / theft. 1 storage trailers, upholstery shop next door. Market Outlook/ Competition: Great promising area, all dealers and shops mainly on hwy. 21, all shops have to send off for crankshaft re-grinding and other services, hard for many to get to service calls, w / machine shop you can due work and crankshaft grinder for all because of size of grinder (largest around). My father started this business in 1957 (moved to new shop location in 1983). Growth & Expansion: I never had the ambition to go "all out" plus i wasn't the mechanic / machinest expert he was, so i never did grind crankshafts or fully take advantage of the machine work side of things (just rebuilt heads), so i just hired a good mechanic and helper or 2 to get things done, i was totally committed to customer service. If shop had maybe 2-4 mechanics + helpers + machinist could be very successful and fulfilling if this is your passion.
